Pope Francis has called a gathering of bishops across the world (called a Synod) in October 2018 on the topic of Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment, to discuss how the Catholic Church can better support young people in living their faith and discerning their mission in life. To help Pope Francis and the Bishops prepare for this Synod they are asking both Catholics and non-Catholics across the world to share their experience.
Not only will your input help Pope Francis prepare for the Synod, it will also help the Diocese of Cheyenne gather information to assist as we continue to accompany our young people and grow our Youth and Young Adult Ministry Programs.
The Diocese of Cheyenne will gather information in two different formats:
- Parish listening sessions
- Online survey
Each parish received a Listening Session ToolKit that will help in the facilitation of a parish listening sessions. Those parish listening sessions will be entered into a seperate survey category (Listening Sessions). Participants in the listening session are also encourage to fill out the online survey as well.
This survey will end on June 15th!
Once the survey is complete, we will be sharing data as it becomes available, as well as other information about the Pre-Synod documents on this page.
